Clear Your Mind: A 3-Minute Meditation for Mental Clarity

A busy mind can make it difficult to concentrate on what is in front of you. Sometimes, a short pause is enough to step away from the noise and return to the present moment.

Our guided practice, A 3-Minute Meditation for Mental Clarity, combines focused breathing, a simple hand position, and the repetition of a mantra. It is not about forcing your mind to become completely still. Instead, it offers your attention one steady place to return to.

Prepare for the meditation

Find a comfortable seated position and allow your shoulders to relax.

Bring your fingers together while keeping the palms slightly open and apart. Place your right thumb over your left thumb, with both thumbs pointing forward. Close your eyes, or soften your gaze if that feels more comfortable.

Take a natural breath in and begin following the meditation.

The mantra

The mantra used in this practice is commonly written as:

Aad Sach, Jugaad Sach, Hai Bhee Sach, Nanak Hosee Bhee Sach.

Listen to the pronunciation in the video and repeat the words along with the guide. The practice begins with two repetitions of the mantra and gradually moves to three and then four repetitions.

Keep your breathing comfortable and unforced. If you need another breath, pause and take one. There is no need to keep pace at the expense of your comfort.

Allow the rhythm, sound, and repetition to become the focus of your attention for these few minutes.

Pair your practice with Focus

Complete your mindful ritual with Focus by Shoti Maa, part of the Shoti Maa Triple Power Tea Line.

This organic herbal and spice infusion brings together aromatic basil, warming ginger, and bright orange. Its fresh, gently spicy flavour makes it a natural companion for a moment dedicated to presence and concentration.

Pour 300 ml of freshly boiled water over one tea bag and allow it to steep for 5 to 7 minutes. While your tea is brewing, put your phone aside, settle into your chosen space, and prepare for the meditation.

Enjoy your tea before or after the practice, allowing the simple act of brewing and drinking it to become part of your ritual.

Take three minutes for yourself

You do not need a long or complicated routine to create a mindful pause in your day. Return to this short meditation whenever you would like to step away from distractions and bring your attention back to the present moment.

A focused breath. A repeated sound. A warm cup. Three minutes for you.

This meditation is intended as a general mindfulness practice and is not a substitute for medical or mental health advice.
