New Year’s Resolutions, so fun and inspiring to think of them, yet after a few weeks most of us get back into our old routines, abandoning our good intentions, maybe even feeling guilty.
Here are some tips to help you stick with your New Year’s resolutions, feel good about yourself, and manifest your dreams.
Visualize - Close your eyes and use all of your senses to visualize what it will look like when you achieve those resolutions, what do you see, smell, feel, taste, hear?
You can also get creative and make a drawing or collage with images that remind you of your goals.
Let go - Think about your beliefs about how life “should be” according to social, cultural, and personal standards, and visualize how YOU want it to be without limitations.
Meaning - Did you know that one way to become happier (a common resolution) is by giving your life meaning? No matter how small, think about how you can make the world a better place, you don’t have to be a Mother Theresa to make a difference, start by creating art, making music, share a meal, and see how it reflects back to you!
To stick with your resolutions, take time daily to sit quietly, close your eyes, breathe gently and remind yourself of that vision you hold for yourself, allowing your intentions to settle into your heart and flow out into the world.
